Here there be monsters...

Lovecraftian stories are rich with strange creatures, nameless horrors and eldritch gods. This gorgeous two-volume slipcase features a listing of every abomination and nightmare, and is rife with strange and spectacular artwork by Loïc Muzy. Fans of Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu® will rejoice to find every monster and god they could ever want described in detail with all stats needed for 7th edition gaming. Creatures and deities are drawn from the works of HPL, other mythos authors, and Chaosium's vast library of gaming supplements. You'll see creatures here that you know well and very likely a number that will be entirely new to you.

The slipcase includes:

  • Volume 1: Monsters of the Mythos —from Aboth to Yugg, you'll find every kind of creeping, shambling, meeping monstrosity you can imagine. With over 150 entries concerning Cthulhu Mythos monsters and alien species, as well as creatures from folklore and animal beasts, this tome supplies a wealth of ideas to bring your campaigns and scenarios life with untold horrors. 216 pages.
  • Volume 2: Deities of the Mythos—Fundamental truths of the cosmos herein lie, to be used to support and inspire countless adventures by bringing Cthulhu, Hastur, Azathoth, and many others to your games. With over 110 entries concerning Great Old Ones, Outer Gods, Elder Gods, Avatars, and Unique Beings, this tome supplies a plethora of ideas to immerse your campaigns and scenarios deep in the heart of Cthulhu Mythos lore. 264 pages.

This collection is intended for Call of Cthulhu® players, but really, you don't have to be a gamer to love this set. Creatures are illustrated in new and interesting ways that make this set fun fodder for any fan of a Lovecraftian universe. The books are handsomely produced in a two volume slipcase.

Malleus what? The title is a riff on the book Malleus Maleficarum, a real guide for would-be witch hunters published in the late 15th century. Written by cleric Heinrich Kramer with help from Inquisitor Jakob Sprenger, the book was intended to help ecclesiastic figures find and destroy witches. In keeping with best practices of the 15th century, it encourage lies, deceit and torture as means of identifying witches and the demons they consorted with. The horrors in the original Malleus are the evil human beings who wrote it, not the "witches" who victimized by it. This book is purely intended for fun and will be of little help in identifying witches.

Obsessed. Soothing, effective, fragrance-free, incredibly healing
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I’ve been loving this so much I bought a second bottle after a few days of using it. It has all the skin soothing benefits of the tolerance lotion cleanser, but it’s also a really great cleanser. It’s almost not noticeable how good it is at cleansing because your skin doesn’t feel stripped after, but it takes things off really quickly. I was worried because it doesn’t foam a lot and it feels so nurturing — much like the tolerance lotion cleanser (which I use as a second cleanse when my skin needs a few days to recover from something like a derm office treatment) — but when I wash again with my favorite HG cleanser nothing extra comes off, and I tested it twice on waterproof eyeliner that I’d swiped on my forearm for an hour or so, the eyeliner dissolved and wiped off with two or three gentle swipes. It has a very emollient texture, so when you rub it against your skin it slips so easily you don’t realize it’s dissolving and taking things away because there is no friction. So it’s great at taking off makeup, it’s AMAZING at cleaning makeup brushes, and IT DOES NOT BURN MY EYES AT ALL. Also, it is FRAGRANCE-FREE… before I bought it I read a review complaining about smelling a citrus fragrance, that person either has some sort of brain tumor or something spilled on their bottle when it was in a warehouse because this is definitely a fragrance-free product. Prior to trying this, I had tried another cleanser that gave me weird acne hives all over my chest (never happened to me before) and I was struggling to heal the acne and the irritation. I noticed an immediate difference when I started using the tolerance cleanser on it; the fresh redness went away, the acne started healing, and the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation has been healing fast. So I’ve been using this on my body as well and it’s soothing and moisturizing in all the places where other things have been drying. I have mild rosacea and I hadn’t realized how irritated my skin was from the last thing I’d tried until after 5 days or so of using this my skin tone looked much more even and the stubborn PIH I have from a two-zit hormonal breakout a month ago finally looked dramatically lighter (as recently as the week before, I’d needed to cover them with high-coverage concealer). Because this doesn’t foam much, some people might not realize how well it’s cleaning… I encourage you to judge it based on how your skin looks and feels. Since it is very emollient though, I do think it’s important to use it with a face wash scrubber or washcloth just to ensure you’re getting some mild mechanical exfoliation and clearing away skin cells that could be trapping stuff in your pores. For this reason, I do wash my face with this twice so the first wash can get off makeup/debris/oil and then the second wash can really penetrate and clean my skin.

No Scent and Gentle
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I broke out in a case of Perioral Dermatitis recently and bought this product to help before I could see my doctor. Avene Tolerance facial cleanser has no scent and is very gentle on my skin. It didn’t burn when washing with this product, and even helped to slough off the dead skin around my lips. My face feels clean, not dry. I am still going to see my doc to get an RX for the inflammation, but I do believe this product helped to alleviate the dryness and tightness of my skin and lips. I’ve used other Avene products and I’m very happy with them. Even though these products are more expensive, to me they are well worth the money because they are much more gentle on the skin than any other products I’ve used. I will buy this product again just because of the fact that it’s so gentle. PS: at the time of purchase for this product, I also bought Avene’s Tolerance Control Skin Recovery Cream (you don’t need to use a lot of this one on your entire face), and Avene’s Cicalfate for lips. Between these 3 products, my lips and skin feel a lot better (however, I will still see my doctor because I have Crohn’s Disease and Perioral Dermatitis is considered an extra-intestinal side effect of Crohn’s).

Gentle everyday cleanser!
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
My go to nightly cleanser! Gentle yet effective. Removes makeup without leaving any residue behind. Also does not dry out my skin or cause breakouts! I would say it’s more of a cream cleanser though. It does not really foam up. It’s a decent size bottle for the price. The pump dispenser is an added plus!

So gentle and moisturizing. Great for super sensitive skin.
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
This is so gentle and moisturizing. Does not irritate my skin in any way. My skin is super sensitive and I have atopic dermatitis, it has been the best cleanser I’ve used to date. I was using another one from this brand and it was fine but this is the one I will continually stick with from now on. Just hope they don’t change the formula.
